The history of Concordia Labels

Concordia Labels was established in 1994 by four companies in the labelling industry: Iwaco (Denmark), Arca Etichette (Italy), Caposa Sinel (Spain), and Labelpak (Belgium), represented by Svend Herrig, Riccardo Fadiga, Jaume Puigbó, and Tony DeVos.

These family-owned businesses, all participants in international associations such as FINAT, formed a partnership to improve competitiveness, consolidate resources, and assist each other’s operations while maintaining their independence.

Prior to widespread industry mergers, Concordia Labels concentrated on joint purchasing, cooperation in production, and the exchange of knowledge, technology, and best practices through regular meetings and committee activities.

Collaboration and openness to innovation have been key aspects of the network.

Currently, Arca Etichette remains the only original member, following organizational changes among the founding companies and the addition of new partners, but never ones to stand still, the European labelling alliance has now grown to a network of seven partners, and are actively looking to expand further.
